Local Department of Human Resources and Social Security (Local Labour Bureau) (当���人力资源和社会保障部门)

A general term which refers to a local government organ responsible for administering labour and social insurance matters. Some localities have divided the governmental management functions of human resources and social security into separate bureaux.
Local labour bureaux regulate and administer all matters relating to labour and social insurance at a local level, including but not limited to the setting of minimum wage levels, the setting of average local wage annually, the issuance of work licences and work permits to foreign persons, matters relating to the contribution of social insurance by employers and employees, and matters relating to enterprises collective contracts scrutiny and filing.
