This Note provides an overview of shelf prospectus offerings under the rules and procedures set out in National Instrument 44-102 - Shelf Distributions (NI 44-102). It describes what a shelf offering is and the types of securities generally distributed under the shelf procedures. This Note also summarizes the prospectus forms used to qualify distributions under the shelf procedures and other related requirements.
