This Practice Note outlines the course of competition law investigations conducted by the Competition Bureau before it starts enforcement proceedings, for example, before the Bureau makes an application to the Competition Tribunal or refers a matter for criminal prosecution. This Note also includes guidelines to minimize risk in a criminal or civil competition law investigation.
