This Note provides an overview of the current legal framework applicable to virtual shareholder meetings in Canada and a general survey of the approaches being adopted by certain public companies in Canada in response to the outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the current best public health practice to avoid unnecessary meetings.
