Statutory declaration to support an application for registration of title where the title deeds have been lost or destroyed

Maintained, England, Wales
This standard document provides an outline for a statutory declaration to support an application to the Land Registry for registration of unregistered land where the original title deeds are lost or destroyed.
The statutory declaration sets out the information that must be included to comply with the Land Registry's requirements. For more information, see Land Registry Practice Guide 2: First registration of title if deeds are lost or destroyed.
The Land Registry will accept a statement of truth instead of a statutory declaration. See Form ST3: Statement of truth in respect of an application for registration of land based upon lost or destroyed title deeds.
