Climate change levy (CCL)

A tax introduced in 2001 on certain energy supplies to non-domestic consumers, including electricity, gas, solid fuel, and liquefied gas. Certain exemptions, exclusions and other reliefs are available from the CCL, including a reduced rate for climate change agreement (CCA) participants.
