Jackson Lewis: Kentucky Employers May Make Arbitration Mandatory as a Condition of Employment or Continued Employment | Practical Law
This Law Firm Publication by Jackson Lewis P.C. discusses Kentucky's new law nullifying the Kentucky Supreme Court's 2018 decision in Northern Kentucky Area Development District v. Snyder and restoring the right of employers to require arbitration as a condition of initial or continued employment. The law does not apply to arbitration provisions in collective bargaining agreements or contracts between insurers and reinsurers. The law will become effective on June 26, 2019, and will apply retroactively.
