This note outlines the FCA's work relating to the retirement income market, with a specific focus on the retirement outcomes review (ROR) launched by the FCA in July 2016, the final report on which was published in June 2018. The note outlines the aim and scope of the review, its preliminary findings as set out in the FCA's July 2017 interim report and the final remedies which resulted in FCA Handbook rule changes.
