This note provides an overview of Directive (EU) 2019/1160 and Regulation (EU) 2019/1156 on the cross-border distribution of collective investment undertakings (the CBDF framework). Among other things, the legislation amended the UCITS Directive (2009/65/EC) and the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (2011/61/EU) (AIFMD) and created a pre-marketing definition.
