The Note gives an overview of China's reformed state supervisory system. It introduces the roles and duties of the National Supervision Commission (NSC) and addresses the changes made to the national supervision regime since the formation of the NSC. The Note also details each of the investigatory powers of the supervisory organs, the case decisions that supervisory organs can make and the statutory mechanisms available to prevent supervisory organs and their officers from abusing their powers.
