This note introduces the technology used for gas-fired power generation. It covers open cycle gas turbine (OCGT), combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology and combined heat and power (CHP) plant, and explains the use of air-cooled condensers and cooling towers. It considers some of the technical aspects of gas-fired generation that may be helpful to a lawyer working on a gas-fired power project.
