Consultation on relaxing rules on changing commercial premises to residential use | Practical Law
The DCLG has published a consultation on proposals for relaxing the rules on change of use without planning permission that are set out in the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (SI 1995/418) (as amended). The consultation seeks views on proposals to amend that Order to allow a change of use from Class B (business and industrial uses) to Class C3 (dwelling houses) without having to obtain planning consent.
