Managed investment schemes | Practical Law

This note considers when a structure will be a managed investment scheme for the purposes of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). Managed investment schemes are often also referred to as managed funds, pooled investments or collective investments and are a statutory construct created by the CA 2001. Where such a structure meets the definition of managed investment scheme in the CA 2001, it must adhere to certain requirements relating to governance, disclosure to investors and licensing.
