An overview of the corporate governance considerations for large private companies for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2019. The note includes details of the requirement for certain large private companies to include a statement of corporate governance arrangements in their directors' report detailing any corporate governance code that they have applied and it outlines the Wates Corporate Governance Principles for Large Private Companies (known as the Wates principles) that such companies may choose to apply.
