The US Attorney General, Eric Holder, has announced that the Obama administration will seek legislation to extend a right of redress in US courts to EU citizens, for wrongs concerning personal data shared with US authorities for law enforcement purposes, to the same extent as US citizens have under the US Privacy Act.
