Proxy

In the context of a company's general meeting, the term "proxy" refers to:
  • The form used by a member to appoint a person to vote on the member's behalf at the company's general meeting (for example, where the member is unable to attend).
  • The actual person who attends and votes at the general meeting on the member's behalf.
