The revised version of the European Patent Convention (EPC), which was agreed by Diplomatic Conference in 2000, will take effect at the latest on 13 December 2007, two years after the fifteenth state, Greece, ratified the convention (the UK ratified in 2005, see Legal update, UK ratifies revised European Patent Convention). The European Patent Office (EPO) has now published Implementing Regulations to the EPC 2000, as adopted by the EPO's Administrative Council on 7 December 2006.
