Viral relief: A look at the impact of ASX’s temporary relief measures on equity capital raisings in Australia | Practical Law
On 31 March 2020, ASX introduced temporary emergency capital raising measures. These were designed, in part, to facilitate capital raisings for ASX-listed entities that, as a result of the economic disruption caused by COVID-19, may have an urgent need to raise capital to support their operations and manage cash flow constraints. This article reflects on the market's response to the measures, the manner in which they have been adopted and makes some predictions for the future.
