A market which:
For the purposes of chapter 5 of the
Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules
(DTR 5), is established under the rules of a UK
recognised investment exchange
.
Except in, and for the purposes of, DTR 5, had been prescribed (as at 2 July 2016) by the Treasury in the
Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Prescribed Markets and Qualifying Investments) Order 2001 (SI 2001/996)
(Order) as amended by regulation 10 of the
Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Market Abuse) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/381)
for the purposes of the market abuse regime under section 118 of the

Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Market Abuse) Regulations 2016
deleted section 118 of FSMA and revoked the Order, in each case with effect from 3 July 2016, but that the Treasury may still make regulations to specify (whether by name or description) the markets which are prescribed markets for the purposes of section 102B(5)(c) of FSMA (
section 102B(5A)
, FSMA
)).
