Medicare
A government-sponsored health insurance program for individuals:
Age 65 or older.
Under age 65 with certain disabilities.
Any age with permanent kidney failure.
Medicare includes the following four parts:
Medicare Part A, which provides insurance for hospital and other inpatient facilities.
Medicare Part B, which provides insurance for outpatient services.
Medicare Part C, which provides Medicare managed care. The costs of the plan may vary, depending on the terms of the plan in which an individual participates.
