Kramon & Graham is one of Maryland's most highly regarded law firms. A multi-practice firm, its attorneys have a well-established reputation for achieving client objectives effectively and efficiently. The firm offers a full complement of legal services to Fortune 500 companies, public and privately held corporations, nonprofits, and individual clients across the nation.
A major portion of Kramon & Graham’s practice is business litigation, a field in which the firm is regarded as pre-eminent. The firm’s lawyers have extensive trial and appellate experience at all levels of the federal and state court systems and before administrative agencies. The attorneys regularly handle complex, high-profile matters involving business and commercial disputes relating to a broad scope of subjects, including government and private contracts; securities; fiduciary duties; unfair competition; employment; commercial construction and residential developments; trademarks and copyrights; trade secrets; and professional malpractice. The firm has considerable experience prosecuting and defending class-action suits. Of the firms 30+ lawyers, six are permamnent members of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, five are Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and three are former Assistant United States Attorneys, and one is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland.
Modern litigation frequently includes opportunities for alternative dispute resolution. Today's contracts regularly include arbitration clauses, and the state and federal courts in Maryland routinely require that parties participate in settlement conferences and mediations before court-appointed mediators or magistrate judges. Likewise, parties often agree to employ private mediators in an attempt to facilitate settlements. Kramon & Graham trial attorneys have vast experience representing clients during ADR proceedings, and many of the firm's attorneys have been selected to serve as neutral arbitrators and mediators in ADR settings. Two of the firm’s attorneys are members of ADR Maryland, a nonprofit service that offers an alternative process for the effective resolution of complex civil cases. Andrew Jay Graham, co-founder of Kramon & Graham, is a founding member of the organization.
