Registrar of Companies
For the purposes of the Companies Act 1993 (CA 1993), the Registrar of Companies appointed in accordance with section 357(1) of the CA 1993.
Part 20 of the CA 1993 sets out the powers, duties and functions of the Registrar of Companies including to:
- Ensure that a register of companies registered under Part 2 of the CA 1993 is kept in New Zealand (section 360(1)(a), CA 1993).
- Rectify and correct the register of companies (section 360A, CA 1993).
- Register documents in the register of companies (section 362, CA 1993).
