An entitlement under a contract between an employee and an employer that relates to any of the subject matters described in either of:
Safety net contractual entitlements are entitlements that are more beneficial to an employee than NES or modern award entitlements. They would most commonly relate to:
  • Notice of termination.
  • Redundancy pay.
  • Leave.
  • Superannuation.
  • Hours of work.
  • Allowances.
  • Procedures for consultation, representation and dispute settlement.
