Employee Vaccination Policy (Voluntary) | Practical Law

A voluntary employee vaccination policy for employers that want to encourage, but not require, a vaccine in response to a public health emergency. This policy was originally designed for use by private employers in a non-health care setting during the COVID-19 pandemic but may be useful in other settings. It includes options for compensating, reimbursing, and incentivizing employees for getting vaccinated and should be modified as necessary to comply with the most current guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This policy is based on federal law. State or local laws may impose additional or different requirements. For more on COVID-19-related developments, see COVID-19: Employment Law and Development Tracker: State Laws and Directives. For a comparison of statewide vaccination laws, see Quick Compare Chart, Employee COVID-19 Vaccine and Testing State Laws. This Standard Document has integrated notes with important explanations and drafting tips.
