Allocated land use rights (划拨土地使用权)

Allocated by the state to a land user for a specified purpose, without consideration and for an indefinite term. This type of land use right can only be assigned, leased or mortgaged with the relevant land authorities' approval. Further, the law stipulates that the government may take back the allocated land use rights without the need to compensate any party for its losses.
