World Intellectual Property Organization

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is the United Nations agency dedicated to the use of intellectual property (patents, copyright, trademarks and designs) as a means of stimulating innovation and creativity. WIPO promotes the development and use of an international intellectual property system through processes for intellectual property protection, an international legal framework, collaborative networks and technical platforms and the capacity to use intellectual property to support economic development.
