Legal representative (法定代表人)
Each company in China must have a legal representative, an individual who executes the functions and powers on behalf of a legal person in accordance with Chinese laws and the articles of association of the legal person. The legal representative has the statutory power to represent a company and their acts bind the company vis-à-vis third parties.
The legal representative generally has a personal chop, registered with the public security authorities.
