Collective land use rights (集体土地使用权)

Land use rights for agricultural land (in rural and suburban areas) that is collectively owned by local peasants, not the state. These rights cannot be assigned, transferred or leased for non-agricultural construction. This is with the exception of collectively owned enterprises that have lawfully obtained construction rights in conformity with the overall plan for land utilisation, but have to transfer their land use right because of:
  • Bankruptcy.
  • Merging.
  • Other reasons.
