A Practice Note providing an overview of the various methods for parties to file documents in actions pending in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Civil Part (including in Complex Business Litigation Program actions) and in non-foreclosure actions in the Chancery Division, General Equity Part. Specifically, this Note explains when to electronically file (e-file) using eCourts Civil or the Judiciary Electronic Document Submission (JEDS) system, in paper with the vicinage clerk, or in paper with the assigned judge's chambers. It also identifies who may use each filing method and exceptions to mandatory e-filing.
