Directorate-General (EU)

The distinct departments that the staff of the main EU Institutions (European Commission, Council and European Parliament) are organised into. Each Directorate-General (DG) is responsible for specific tasks or policy areas. The administrative head of a DG is known as the Director-General (a term sometimes also abbreviated to DG).
For a list of all DGs and links to the individual department websites, see Europa: Departments.
