Glossary

OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB).

An electronic quotation service regulated by the US National Association of Securities Dealers that provides real-time quotes for over-the-counter equity securities. The securities quoted on the OTCBB include non-US equity issues and American depositary receipts. Securities are quoted on the OTCBB at the application of OTCBB market makers, and a company wishing to obtain an OTCBB quotation must request that a market maker make an application. Issuers of OTCBB securities do not have to pay fees or make filings with the OTCBB, but they must comply with the periodic reporting requirements under the US Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
For further information, see the OTCBB website.
