Informal trialogue (EU)

Discussions or negotiations held between representatives of the European Parliament (EP), the Council of the EU and the European Commission to try to come to a compromise on the final text of a proposed legislative act that falls under the ordinary legislative procedure. Also known as interinstitutional meetings. Informal trialogue negotiations are often conducted on the basis of multi-column documents.
