A Checklist of practical issues that counsel should consider when drafting requests for admission (RFAs) (sometimes called requests to admit) for use in discovery in Illinois circuit court civil litigation. Counsel can use RFAs to ask another party to admit or deny the truth of facts, the genuineness of documents, or both. This Checklist explains how to draft and serve RFAs, and how to prepare and file the certificate of service.
