Among the main responsibilities of the CNV are: Promoting and strengthening the development of the securities market in Panama.Registration of public offerings of securities as well as other mandatory registrations.Issuing, suspending, revoking and cancelling all securities-related licenses required by the Securities Act.Ordering the suspension of any activity in violation of the Securities Act or its regulations, including the suspension of operations and securities trading.Establishing the rules of commercial conduct and ethical norms which must be followed by all securities intermediaries and the enforcement of sanctions to any violations thereof.
