Jackson Lewis: Washington State Amends Paid Family and Medical Leave Act Waiting Period | Practical Law

This Law Firm Publication by Jackson Lewis P.C. states that the Washington Employment Security Department has amended regulation WAC 192-500-185 to no longer require the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) waiting period for birth parents requiring medical leave immediately following the birth of a child. The waiting period will also no longer count against employees' leave entitlement. This amendment becomes effective June 9, 2022.
