The new law took effect immediately upon signing on May 25, 2022. Individuals aged 21 and older can possess up to one ounce of cannabis; in their primary residence, they may possess up to ten ounces of cannabis and are permitted to grow cannabis plants. The new law does not hinder an employer's ability to prohibit the use or possession of cannabis in the workplace or discipline based on workplace violations.
