Glossary
Shareholder
For the purposes of the Companies Act 1993 (CA 1993), in relation to a company, a person:
- Whose name is entered in the share register as the holder of one or more shares in the company.
- Who is:
- named as a shareholder in an application for registration of the company; or
- entitled to have their name entered in the share register under a registered amalgamation proposal as a shareholder in an amalgamated party.
