Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) (水利部)

A central government ministry sitting under the State Council.
The MWR's functions include:
  • Ensuring rational development and utilisation of water resources.
  • Formulating water resources development strategies, plans and policies.
  • Guiding hydrological work, including hydrological monitoring of water resources, construction and management of national hydrological station network.
