Listed
Refers to a company that has any class of its securities admitted to the
Official List
maintained by the
Financial Conduct Authority
(FCA). A
listed company
is subject to the
Listing Rules
. While to be listed,
equity shares
must be admitted to trading on a
UK regulated market
, such as the
Main Market
of the
London Stock Exchange
(LSE), to be listed all other securities must be admitted to trading on a market for listed securities of a
recognised investment exchange
(RIE) (
LR 2.2.3R
).
An
AIM company
is not listed because its securities are not admitted to the Official List.
