Fiduciary

Someone who has undertaken to act for, or on behalf of, another in circumstances which give rise to an obligation of trust and confidence (Bristol & West Building Society v Mothew (t/a Stapley & Co) [1998] Ch. 1).
The distinguishing obligation of a fiduciary is the obligation of loyalty. See also Fiduciary duties.
