A Practice Note addressing final regulations issued under the Trump administration that expanded the religious beliefs exemption to the Affordable Care Act's (ACA's) contraceptives mandate and added a moral convictions exemption. The final regulations, which were jointly issued by the Departments of Labor (DOL), Health and Human Services (HHS), and Treasury, were upheld by the Supreme Court in July 2020.
