Cloud Computing
An environment for information technology (IT) services that permits remote access to shared computing services and data storage capacity typically through the internet (for which "the cloud" is a metaphor). Instead of procuring, installing, and maintaining local networks, servers, and other IT infrastructure, cloud computing users can access and use IT infrastructure, platforms, and software in the cloud and store information on remote servers that may be independently owned and operated. By providing users access to scalable software and data resources from various locations, cloud computing may be more efficient and cost effective than conventional IT solutions.
