Effective January 1, 2023, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) became one organization that was known as the New Self-Regulatory Organization of Canada (New SRO). On April 24, 2023, the members of the New SRO approved the new name of the organization: Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). The name change became effective June 1, 2023.
