This note explains the law regarding export controls under the Export Control Act 2002 (ECA 2002) and the Export Control Order 2008 (ECO 2008), including the offences that can be committed under that legislation, and under section 68 of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 (CEMA 1979).
