An overview of China's revised anti-unfair competition law. This note highlights the changes brought by the revised legislation to address typical acts of unfair competition, that is, commercial bribery, passing off, infringement of trade secrets, false promotion and commercial defamation. The revised law also introduces the regulation of emerging anti-competitive conduct involving the internet. The note discusses the enhanced enforcement powers of administrative authorities and the increased civil and administrative liability of unfair competition offenders.
