New York Convention

The New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, was concluded in 1958. The Convention provides a regime for the enforcement and recognition of arbitral awards within contracting states, with limited grounds on which the courts of one contracting state may refuse to recognise and enforce an arbitral award rendered in another contracting state.
