Gas Gathering Pipeline (US)

A network-like pipeline that transports natural gas from individual wellheads to a compressor station, treating or processing plant, storage facility, shipping point or main trunk transmission line. Gathering lines generally are short in length and smaller in diameter than transmission lines.
