Social insurance (社会保险)
Under the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China 2018, social insurance refers to five types of social insurance fund:
- Basic pension insurance.
- Basic medical Insurance.
- Unemployment insurance.
- Work-related injury insurance.
- Maternity insurance.
The first three require both employers and employees to contribute, while the latter two require contributions only from the employer.
