Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Natural gas that has been cooled to below 160 degrees Celsius and condensed into a liquid for storage and transportation purposes. LNG occupies 600 times less space than natural gas which allows for more efficient shipping. LNG is typically transported via specialized carriers that keep it cold. Once the LNG reaches its destination, it is regasified at a regasification terminal and transported via pipeline or truck to where it is needed.
