A policy on workplace diversity and inclusion (D&I), sometimes referred to as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). It discusses plans and programs for employers to address D&I issues in the workplace, such as mission statements, recruitment efforts, implicit bias and other training, affinity groups, and more. It can be incorporated into an employee handbook or used as a stand-alone policy document. This Standard Document is drafted for private workplaces. It is jurisdiction-neutral and based on federal law. State or local law may impose additional or different requirements, but this document is useful and relevant to employers in every state.
